At one time, the underwear subscription company Adore Me was the fastest growing e-comm business in the country and Kristen Anderson, owner of KRSTN NDRSN, an all inclusive design and development studio, was there to experience it.
Even in high school, Kristen knew she wanted to own a clothing brand. Back then, she thought she wanted to design party dresses. But after landing a job with an intimate apparel design house after college, she realized by designing garments most of us wear every day she could have a much bigger impact on the world.
Since her early days with Adore ME thru her present day work as a consultant to emerging intimate apparel and swimwear brands, Kristen has been thinking about designing the perfect bra that will someday fit people of all shapes and sizes. Take it from a bra designer / owner like ME, that’s a very hefty goal…
In this episode of the MAJAMAS EARTH CARE WHAT YOU WEAR & SO MUCH MORE Podcast, we discuss our shared experiences in clothing design. From creating reasonably priced, beautiful garments to the work behind the work, we cover a lot and hopefully shed some light on why that skimpy pair of well-made underwear costs so much.
So sit back, listen and learn what goes into your underwear and why what may seem like a “simple design” is anything but…
